North Island Fishing Adventures offers the best of both saltwater and freshwater fishing.

North Vancouver Island is home to many rivers that have runs of salmon and steelhead. Local lakes have healthy populations of rainbow and cutthroat trout. The variety of fishing techniques are endless. Fly fishing can be very productive on both lakes and streams. Spin and drift fishing are a great way to catch both steelhead and salmon when the runs are in.
At N.I.F.A. we aim to provide the widest variety of opportunities for whatever fishing experiences our clients desire. Probably one of the biggest factors determining how successful and enjoyable any fishing experience turns out is the weather. Sometimes conditions that can ruin one type of fishing can be beneficial to another. Rain will bring fish into the rivers and windy days on the ocean might be the best days to chase trout in freshwater lakes and rivers.
In short, no matter when you are here or what the weather, there are many options available for fishing.
We have 3 different boats.
- Ocean fishing: 18 foot center console boat.
- Freshwater fishing: 18 foot drift boat as well as a 12 foot raft.
